Thriving Families Service

Thriving Families

The Thriving Families Service is about providing families with support and tools to build safe, happy, healthy and successful futures. Thriving Families is an additional offer of support for families who have a social worker and are working with Children Services. Thriving Families help to remove the barriers families can face in accessing the support that they want, by offering support in different specialisms, all within the same team. We work in partnership with families to identify the family’s goals and ambitions for the family’s future.

Thriving Families take a whole family approach, providing family-led and person-focused direct-work for the adults in the family. Thriving Families bring together a team of professionals who are committed to being strengths-based. We work in partnership with families, ensuring that their family plan builds on their existing strengths and protective factors, and together support in addressing the adversities and vulnerabilities the family may be facing.

Bringing together specialist skills, resources and professional expertise into Children Services, families can access the best suitable support at the right time.

Our offer of support includes:

  • Mental Health
  • Family Support
  • Trauma informed support
  • Healthy Relationships for worries around domestic abuse
